JAAF and ASTER DM Foundation Partner for Mobile Medical Services
J. Amado Araneta Foundation, the social development arm of the Araneta Group, is working alongside Aster DM Foundation International to run mobile medical services in the Philippines. To strengthen its community development program, JAAF has accepted the donation of Aster DM Foundation for a medical bus.
Aster DM Foundation is involved in conducting various healthcare CSR initiatives and humanitarian activities in the UAE. The Medical Bus Project, through JAAF, will give Aster DM stronger presence in the Philippines. To Aster, the project shall help a large number of local communities beyond the primary health screening.
Diane Romero, JAAF Executive Director shares her thoughts: “We are fortunate to have been the recipient of the medical bus donation from Aster DM Foundation. This will go a long way in making our health advocacy and roll out of health projects more robust.”
The medical bus will be co-managed by the Office of Cong. Edgar Erice of the 2nd District of Caloocan City. The Hatid Tulong Program in Caloocan City, aimed at extending social services to indigent residents, has been supported by JAAF since 2019. The Program includes medical consultations, blood pressure checkup, x-ray procedures, free medicines and vitamins as its components.
